Rip up the rule book and create a space that inspires” – this was the brief for the new 91,000 sq ft Moneypenny Headquarters in Wrexham. The building brings staff from five offices under one roof and features a village pub, stadium seating and a treehouse boardroom.
New Headquarters, Wrexham
Bespoke designed 120 degree workstations including acoustic desk top divider screens, Platinum Squared task chairs, Bench2 workstations and tables.
To provide a desk solution for the new state-of-the-art HQ what would provide maximum space efficiency and accommodate approximately 600 call centre workers over two floors. In addition, to design a bespoke divider screen with the ability to keep noise levels to a minimum between workstations.
Working closely with the client, Gresham designed, manufactured and supplied 600 bespoke 120 degree workstations for use across the main office floors. This process included the production of initial prototype desks and acoustic panels which allowed stakeholders to ‘try out’ and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of the solution before mass production began. Task chairs from the Platinum Squared range were chosen for use alongside the workstations to provide staff with a high level of ergonomic comfort and were manufactured in a variety of bright colours to tie in with the wider interior design scheme.
The objective for this project was to create something amazing, our dream headquarters and a place in which our staff would be truly happy to work. And how did we achieve this? We asked our staff what was important to them and formed focus groups that kept them involved all the way through the project. Gresham quickly understood the approach we were taking and took it to the next level by designing a workstation to meet the specific needs of our call centre staff, and even allowed them to try it out before finalising the design and putting it into production. The result is that we have a great looking workspace with great looking, great quality furniture which our team are happy to use day in, day out.
