Newark and Sherwood District Council, have for many years been based at Kelham Hall. This is a period building that was becoming unsuitable for use as commercial offices. It is not situated in the town centre and was not suitable to serve the local population. They needed to move.

The Council embarked on a project to construct a new office building close to the centre of Newark that would be designed to give the local people much improved service provision.

The ground floor in the new office building has a dedicated public service area that houses the Local Authority Contact Centre, and all of the additional service providers.

The main offices now have dedicated meeting rooms, Bespoke areas, pods, touchdown and collaboration spaces to support the functions of the Councils varied departments.
