Kirklees Council wanted a stylish urban environment with a perfect mix of inviting, open plan spaces, private consultation areas and bespoke computer access facilities for public use. They chose Gresham to realise this vision.
Project: Relocation Programme in Huddersfield.
Client: Kirklees Council.
Products: Screening pods, workstation pods, task chairs, soft seating and bespoke collection point stations
Kirklees Council relocated its Customer Services operations to a new building in the centre of Huddersfield. Residents use the centre for enquiries around business rates, council tax, benefits and other service-related enquiries. Because of the sensitive nature of some enquiries, the council wanted a modern facility that mixed inviting open spaces with areas of privacy. Another particular required feature were public computer access points, where visitors could access the council’s websites.
Gresham supplied a combination of bespoke furniture designs and quality items from the Gresham portfolio. This enabled the client and their customers to benefit from a contemporary interior finish that melds private spaces with more communal areas. It included a bespoke collection point for a public printing service as well as public computer stations for Internet access.
